As one of many Davis-Moore fundraisers benefiting United Way, Dawson Grimsley agreed to take a pie in the face for this GREAT cause!  Davis-Moore Chevy hosted the event, coordinated by Chevy Service Manager Chris Lies – attendees could buy a BBQ lunch and a variety of raffle tickets, (including the chance to “pie” Dawson), with all proceeds going to United Way.  When the winning ticket was drawn, New Car Sales Manager Sean Tarbell had the winning ticket – and he turned it over to be auctioned off to the highest bidder!  Connor Ward, service advisor, took the highest bid, and the chance to throw the pie!  In addition to Dawson, organizer Chris Lies ALSO took a pie in the face for charity!  Jennifer Mankins, from Davis-Moore’s central office, raised $500 individually to throw the pie at Chris.  All in all, $4,000 was raised!  Congrats Davis-Moore Chevy for a job well done!

I know that it’s only the end of September, but one of my favorite holidays is right around
 the corner…Halloween!
 In case you are wondering, here is my top 5 holidays:

Gosh, I remember the days around the camp fire, celebrating Leif and eating marshmallows. I long for the days when I could be that care free. Anyways, the upcoming holiday got me thinking…What would a 2010 Mazda Tribute want to be for Halloween?  Usually, the choice of costume is meant to be comedic.  Especially when you are a sexy SUV like the Tribute.  Let’s face it folks, it is definitely the Burt Reynolds of its class.  I think for Halloween, it would want to go a little Don Knotts.  No, not Don Knotts from The Andy Griffith Show, I mean Don Knotts from Three’s Company!  Can’t you see old Ralph Furley now?  The leisure suits, the ascots, the fake machismo…..striking!  That makes me think of two costumes for the Tribute:  The Honda CR-V and the Toyota Rav 4.  Both SUV’s definitely fit the bill.  They are wannabe’s, they have an outdated design and they’re just not really the kind of SUV you would want if you are trying to meet a nice lady or gentleman at The Regal Beagle.  The Tribute destroys the competition with a sportier design, a lower MSRP and an Insure.com’s 2010 Lowest Cost Car Insurance Award.  With all that, let me give you the #1 reason to buy a Tribute.  Edmumds.com calls it “A Positive AtTribute”.  How great is a vehicle when a respected auto website can use such fantastic poetry??!!  And this month, with up to $2500 in rebates or 0% financing, it’s the perfect vehicle to pick up Jack, Chrissy and Janet and head to your Halloween party.  So “Come and knock on my door” and buy your new Tribute today!
